This bright and vibrant garlic basil infused olive oil is an excellent condiment for a summer BBQ as it compliments and elevates a wide range of dishes such as meat, fish and other grilled veggies. It's light, fresh and tangy, naturally dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cup Basil leaves Fresh
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic fresh
  • ½ lemon to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash the basil leaves and dry them well.
  • Combine all ingredients into a kitchen blender and whizz thoroughly until mixed evenly and smooth.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Serve at room temperature

Notes

  • Dry the basil well before mixing it. Otherwise the end result can become to watery
  • This recipe is best made with homegrown basil as it is more rich and vibrant in flavour. Pick basil leaves that are bright and green.
